I can only say nothing but good thoughts about this class. The assignments were very challenging and interesting and every homework enabled me to develop further my writing skills.  As a writer, I learned the importance of making sure that my point-of-view is absorbed by the readers while respecting their opinions and level of maturity. It is also important to make my message clear because it is only through effective writing that readers will respect my views and provide me with further insights through their own opinions and experiences as well.

Online class was very effective in addressing this type of learning because it allowed me to provide feedback on the articles and responses of my classmates. At the same time, my responsibility to provide feedbacks also developed my critical-thinking skills thereby expressing more substantial idea to discuss. As a reader, I also learned that everyone has a story to tell. Our class forum gave me a lot of appreciation to my classmates because I felt the sincerity of their responses whether it makes sense or not. In the end, by reading between the lines, there is no such thing as useless idea, just a crazy idea where new ideas are extracted until it all makes sense.

I really enjoyed the second essay because it reminded me of what I have become, what I have achieved, and what I really want to be in future. It reminded me of my own sense of purpose. It redirected my focus back to my long-term goals. Before, I never really knew the significance of what I am doing, what my parents imprinted in my mind about the importance of education. But as some say, “Once you reach twenties, you begin to question everything.” True enough, when I turned twenty last September, my ignorance to a lot of things turned to guilt, sense, and more so, wisdom. I began to think more maturely and the essay totally amplified my thought of understanding my future goals. I realized that in the end, only I can help myself. And it is through education that would concretize the life I so long wanted to have in the future.

I believe God gave me priceless gifts for me to use them well. Wisdom to understand my thoughts and actions, courage to overcome all roadblocks, perseverance to continue chasing my dreams, a bright hope to lean on when trouble comes, commitment to give nothing but my best, compassion to stop along the way to appreciate what life has to offer, and the humility to stay on ground while striving for every big or minute goals. God gave me a purpose-driven life. Without Him, I would still be the same old man waking up in the morning thinking what I need to do next.
